Question 1: Dog Pannus (An Inherited Health Defect)
My daughter-in-law will be blind along with will be assisted by a dog trained to lead a blind or visually impaired person. One day I found that will the eyes of her dog looked filmy. I consulted two veterinarians along with both of them diagnosed the item as pannus. They prescribed for her drops at three times a day along with said that will that will has to be done throughout the lifetime of the dog.
I am interested in knowing the following details about that will disease.
1. What will be pannus?
2. will be the item a contagious disease that will could affect additional dogs?
3. Does that will affect the dog’s eyesight along with also whether the item will be possible to determine loss of sight, if any?
4. will be the item possible to cure the item by operation?
I find that will the veterinarians are not able to throw light on that will.
Pannus refers to the growth of blood vessels into the peripheral cornea. In normal individuals, the cornea will be avascular. Chronic local hypoxia or inflammation may lead to peripheral corneal vascularization, or pannus. Pannus may also develop in diseases of the corneal stem cells, such as aniridia. that will will be a defect which has been inherited; that will defect occurs commonly in breeds such as German Shepherds along with Boxers although the item can also occur in additional breeds.
the item will be possible to operate on the dog depending on its age. that will operation consists of removing the obstructing membranes, tissues along with blood vessels using a modest electric needle along with also shutting off the flow of certain vessels to the eye. You have been given the eye drops to administer on the dog which prevents the developing of secondary infections along with also to keep the eyes moist.
Question 2: Ignoring My Commands
I along with my dog are going regularly to an obedience class conducted by an experienced along with talented trainer; in spite of that will I find that will my dog’s behavior at times causes acute embarrassment. For example, my dog does not pay attention on heeling; he forges, he sniffs along with behaves as though I am not even holding the leash at the additional end. The instructor frequently comes over along with takes my dog along with the dog’s behavior adjustments considerably. the item appeared as though the dog with me will be not the same as the dog inside hands of the trainer.
My dog performs in a perfect manner with the instructor along with I felt proud when the two of them work in unison. Once the dog comes back into my hands by that will of the instructor the item starts becoming cranky again. I am unable to understand his behavior; my dog knows what to do for the trainer although not for me. Are you having any suggestions on that will behavior?
You should closely watch the movements of the trainer instead of looking at your dog when he takes your dog for demonstration. You must observe what the trainer will be doing along with how he will be doing. Look closely at his footwork, how he holds the leash, how he corrects along with also how he talks to your dog while working.
One of the most important requirements in handling your dog will be confidence; I am of the opinion that will you lack that will. In case you are not having confidence either in yourself or your dog, he will start picking up such feeling along with behave accordingly. the item will be possible that will you have a relatively weak personality as compared to your dog along with your dog might pick up that will along with feel that will you are not fit enough to lead him during obedience lessons.
